As you may have noticed, we have joined the Yakezie Challenge. This is a wonderful challenge and we are very excited to be a part of it. 1. What To Do If You’re Underwater-on Your Mortgage: The falling home values that came with the mortgage market crash and recession have resulted in a number of homes showing negative equity. These underwater mortgages could possibly put a strain on the economy if they result in foreclosure. However, it is not a foregone conclusion that foreclosure will result when you have negative equity.
2. Do You Buy More Than You Need?: I was flipping through the channels last week when I found a woman on the QVC channel selling a d e sktop computer. I like to keep tabs on certain technology products (mostly computers and external hard drives) just to keep track of the trends. I’ve coveted an external hard drive for years, and when the prices hit $30 for 250GB, possibly around Black Friday, I’ll pull the trigger. I don’t NEED one, but it would be nice to have a real place to backup my files.
3. Improve Your Credit Rating in 5 Easy Steps: Most people in this modern world that we live in have a credit card. And the people that don’t may actually be doing themselves more harm than good. Building your credit rating up is vital if you ever wanted to apply for a loan or a mortgage, so you can imagine the disaster if you have poor credit rating.
   
4. DIY’ing is Illegal: Do you ever feel as if you just woke up to a changed world? This country was built upon the backs of settlers that founded our schools, churches and cities. They built their homes and businesses from scratch, felling their own trees to make lumber and painting their own signs.
5. Most People that Tell You They Don’t Want to be Wealthy are Lying: This post is completely inspired by a post by a recent tongue in cheek post (I swear I have never used that saying before, and I don’t think I will again) by Joe over at Personal Finance by The Book titled “How to Ensure That You Will Never Be A Millionaire.”
